I have no reason not to recommend CMJ. From the very start of the process you can see the passion that Kevin and his team has for their work. Initially, Kevin was requested to quote for a bar counter and back bar as we were thinking of doing a full refurbishment in house and use our own expertise from within the membership to manage the project. Once Kevin had been to site, we were impressed with his knowledge and enthusiasm to working in our clubhouse, preserving its features whilst modernising its main bar areas, we therefore asked if he wanted to quote for the full work. The very start we knew we were in safe hands, the full interior design and project management was ably handled by Nicky. After a visit to his main workshops to see furniture and some of his staff, we were sold and awarded the full contract to CMJ and have never looked back The project was scheduled to take 10 weeks, which involved the full strip out of the current fixtures and fittings, removal of 2 load bearing walls, full re-wire, plastering, decorating, the building of a new large bar and kitchen, and new furniture. The guys on site were great, worked like I have never seen before and became almost part of our staff. I have recommended Kevin and his team to several other golf clubs and have no reason not to recommend them to you. If you do wish to come to the club to see the work, please contact me on the above number and we can arrange.
Childwall Golf Club
Our first contact with Childwall Golf Club was in 2017, this large project was a year in the planning with completion occurring in December 2018.
Other than the golfers changing rooms all ground floor public areas were refurbished – the lounge bar, junior room, snooker room, entrance lobby, corridors, accessible WC and kitchen. CMJ removed a huge structural wall previously separating the bar & snooker room really opening up the entire space adding light to the area.
The bespoke bar was bigger and featured a central ‘island cellar’ where the kitchen previously was with the new backfitting wrapped around it. Light oak panelled curved fronts and black quartz counter tops complemented the slate LVT floor.
Not one element was untouched – everything renewed including flooring, settees, chairs and tables, and new curtains and pelmets to the curved windows. We were delighted with the outcome.
